I’m a die-hard geek who spends a ridiculous amount of time being nerdy, both professionally and personally. I’m one of those few people who can say that she both loves her hobbies and her employment.
I work for SEOmoz, an internet marketing software company, where I’m the social community manager. In my role, I help out with social media, both off-site and on-site, with a community of over 300,000 members, co-run the annual MozCon, take care of our community voice, and work on whatever else is thrown my way. With 5+ years experience in e-commerce web marketing, I’ve got some mad skills.
I’m a founder and staff alum of GeekGirlCon, a nonprofit run by volunteers that celebrates and supports geeky women with events and conventions. Located in Seattle, GeekGirlCon is made up entirely of volunteers. I served as president from 2010-2012 and as director of marketing from 2010-2013.
My comic book collection is an earthquake hazard, and I review sci-fi television, books, comics, and local geeky events on my blogs. I dream about traveling in space.
All opinions on this blog are my own and in no way affiliated with anyone, any corporation, or the flying spaghetti monster.
